The Software Management Experts

TurnOver™ Deployment

Ready for WebSphereWhen your software changes are ready to "go live," TurnOver can distribute them across your entire network to iSeries and iSeries LPARs, UNIX, Windows, and Linux servers. Whether deploying routine fixes or a completely new application, the process is the same, and tracking is just as thorough. The "how" and "when" are totally up to you. You can hold distributions and deploy them on a release basis — or continuously as you make changes, even emergency changes.

TurnOver's inherent object archiving and automatic recovery capabilities ensure that promotions are completely risk free. It archives everything on the iSeries, and it installs the current version of each changed and new object with the correct attributes and authorities.

TurnOver uses the same process to move your application into your test and QA environments as it does to deploy it to production servers. A repeatable process ensures that your methodology is fully tested, which decreases the risk of unexpected issues at deployment time.

In addition, TurnOver monitors unattended promotions, and if anything goes wrong, it can recover them automatically. You can schedule promotions and distributions to occur on off hours and to run unattended with confidence.

  • Many Deployment Options
TurnOver deploys software changes to iSeries, Windows, UNIX, and Linux Servers. It supports a variety of distribution vehicles including TCP/IP, FTP, SNADS, and Connect:Direct for OS/400T.
  • Distribution Scheduling and Status Reports
Distribution can be set up to promote changes to any environment automatically, or manually, depending on operational requirements. On networked systems, you can view the status of a distribution, step by step, from your development system. TurnOver updates status information as the change is applied.
  • Customized Deployment
TurnOver can accommodate differences on target systems such as different library names, promotion methods, authority settings, etc. For example, you could compile the objects on the development system but use the "Move Object" method on the production systems to minimize the installing time.
  • Automatic Recovery
TurnOver can recover promotions across your entire network. You can synchronize a promotion so that a promotion failure on one system triggers a rollback on all of them. Object archives back up your source and object code so that if your installation fails for any reason, TurnOver can automatically restore your application to its previous state.
  • iSeries Network Support
TurnOver receives and installs changes on production iSeries servers, even if each system is set up differently.
  • Audit and Management Reporting
Audit and management reports are available from both your development and production computers.
